Work on productions

Atom

The work on productions is based on workshops; work in progress. Time consuming actions (on average 500 hours are spent on one theatre production), the study of the space/time continuum, of coincidences and of the fragmented chaos extracted from the whole, are undertaken by physical expression and then stressed.

The parts are afterwards combined into visual pictures which are moving and transforming in different spatial structures. As an artist paints his picture is how human bodies and objects in space create three dimensional live pictures. They are then moving and connecting with one another. In this way a sequence of moving images is achieved. The sound is analyzed in parallel to the moving images to which they add a dimension and the making of the electronic music is approached as an integral part of the interactive work.

Analysis of the sound and detail is a time consuming process. Sound of any kind (breathing, collisions of bodies, stomps, etc.) represents the music, which accompanied by powerful electronic music, made by computers and different elements as well as the sounds of nature, becomes an integral and interactive part of the show. Another important aspect in creating complete images is the lighting which, together with the aspects mentioned above, contributes to the show reaching and touching the audience with its acoustic –visual flowing.

In our work we combine the principles of 'western' technique mime (Corpolar mime Etienne de Croux) and 'eastern'  biomechanic - Mayerhold's system of trainings for actors.
