Synergy
describes complementary activities whose impact is greater than the sum
of individual parts. In other words, one plus one equals three. From
this perspective we have approached performances Sisters and
Zero - the third fractal as formations in which we were
looking for the basic ‘building’ elements, their indivisible components
on which the principles of deconstruction and reconstruction have been
implemented. |

And it is precisely Zero with its subject of a man confined
within boundaries of Space and Time that we found suitable to
incorporate in closed (limited) situations of Chekhov’s and Lorca’s
plays. Decomposed and re-composed text in performance Sisters,
has been decomposed again (this time with other elements of theatrical
act: music, light, sound, costumes) and edited, but also connected with
the fragments of the performance Zero - the third fractal. The
aim is to re-edit the original perception of the performances in the
enhanced, combined effect of the synergy, and to add to Chekhov and
Lorca ideas of restraint and limitation from the performance Zero
from 1994. |
